* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 11.7 feet by Friday early afternoon. The
river will fall below flood stage by early Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 11.8 feet...Floodwaters surround a home at the
intersection of Highway 50 and Highway W in the Town of Wheatland
area. Water is about 8 inches deep over 77th Street in the Town of
Wheatland area. Water is in the back yards of some homes in the
Village of Salem Lakes area. This level is the 50 percent chance
flood meaning there is a 50 percent chance in any given year of the
river reaching this level.

baseball diamond in Fireman's Park along Highway DD are covered
with water up to 4 feet deep. Floodwaters affect some businesses,
including the Post Office, along Highway 154 in Rock Springs.

Just some very light rain lingers across most of southeast
Wisconsin. There's some spunkier showers with decent radar returns
dropping into northern Fond du Lac county. These are in an area of
focused low level convergence as depicted on the SPC mesoanalysis
page. That convergence will weaken with time and so should these
heavier showers. Look for a gradual clearing trend later tonight.

Increasing northeast winds will bring building waves tonight into
Thursday. A small craft advisory is in effect through 10 pm
Thursday. Some stronger winds may occur across southern Lake
Michigan this weekend due to the remnants of Gordon. They will be
east winds as well, which could lead to some high waves along the
southern Wisconsin nearshore zones.

UPDATE...
The rainy forecast is on track. The post frontal, widespread
light rain will continue through the evening, gradually drifting
south and east with time. The intensities have diminished, but it
will be a persistent rain. We dry out by sunrise Thursday!
AVIATION(00Z TAFS)...
Expect the band of light rain across the area to gradually drift
south and east this evening. MVFR and IFR CIGS/VSBYS will improve
to VFR along the lake shore this evening. Those improving
conditions will then spread northeast to southwest toward KMSN.
Once at VFR, expect those conditions to persist through the rest
of the TAF period. Winds will be northeast through the TAF period.

SHORT TERM...
Tonight and Thursday...Forecast Confidence is High.
Mostly light to moderate rain is expected for the remainder of the
afternoon and continuing over southeast WI through the evening
hours. The post frontal rain will likely continue as weak PVA and
the RRQD of an upper jet gives upper support to the lower level
frontogenesis. The rain may however stop by early evening north
and west of Madison. Stratus clouds to then prevail much of the
night with some clearing from north to south well after midnight.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for Thu with nely winds and
pleasant temps and humidity.
LONG TERM...
Thursday Night through Wednesday...Forecast Confidence is High
Wisconsinites will hear this forecast and throw their hands up in
the air and cheer as we appear to have a dry forecast for at least
the next 7 days. Broad ridging will be in place across the Great
Lakes which will help to keep the remnants of Gordon to the
southeast of the region. The 05.12z ECMWF came in line with the
rest of the guidance with keeping the track of Gordon to the
southeast, so have pulled any chances of precipitation that were
trying to get in there thanks to the 00z run of the ECMWF.
Otherwise, conditions look seasonal with a much needed break from
the precipitation.
AVIATION(21Z TAFS)...Cigs mainly 1-3 kft this afternoon and
tonight with some clearing from northeast to southwest across srn
WI well after midnight. Few-sct025-035 for late morning into the
afternoon on Thu. Occasional showers this afternoon with lighter
rain lingering over se WI through the evening. Low vsbys in and
