The Baraboo River At West Baraboo.
* At 11:00 AM Thursday the stage was 7.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to rise above flood stage later
this afternoon, crest near 12.0 feet early Friday afternoon and
fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...There is widespread lowland and agricultural
land flooding in the Baraboo area. Floodwaters spread into lower
portions of Haskins park in West Baraboo in the area of the gauge.

continue to rise to near 7.7 feet by Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 8.2 feet...There is widespread flooding of agricultural
land and lowland. There is widespead flooding in Riverbend
Campground, about 5 miles upstream of Milford. This level is
considered to be about a 20 percent chance flood meaning there is a
20 percent chance in any given year of the river reaching this
level.

be flooded: Highway I and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of Saukville,
Blueberry Drive and Hawthorne Drive in the Town of Saukville,
Highway W between Highway 33 and Highway 57 in the Village and Town
of Saukville. Water approaches some homes along Klug Lane just
south of Highway C in Thiensville. Water is near some homes along
Island Drive and Shoreland Parkway in the Mequon area.

Highway W between Highway 33 and Highway 57 in the Village and Town
of Saukville. Water approaches some homes along Klug Lane just

* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Floodwaters are in the back yards of some
homes along South Farmer, Jefferson, North Mechanic and West Water
Streets in Princeton. There is widespread flooding of lowland and
wooded land.

early Saturday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 14.5 feet...There is moderate flooding in the Berlin
area. Riverside and Webster Street Parks in Berlin are flooded. A
couple of homes along Webster St. in Berlin are affected by
floodwaters.

Need to watch upstream low clouds over southern IA/northern MO associated with gradually returning higher low level relative humidity. These lower clouds may spread into southern WI later tonight into early Friday. && .MARINE...Onshore, mainly easterly winds to continue today, then gradually veering to the southeast later tonight. && .PREV DISCUSSION... (Issued 628 AM CDT Thu Aug 30 2018) UPDATE...The forecast is on track for today. AVIATION(12Z TAFS)...Dense fog in the WI River Valley through 14z with patchy fog elsewhere across srn WI. Areas of MVFR Cigs over srn WI through the morning becoming sct-bkn035 for the afternoon. Patchy fog developing once again late tnt over low lying areas. Areas of Cigs 1-3 kft will then develop Fri after sunrise over south central WI as humid air and sct showers and tstorms return to the region. PREV DISCUSSION... (Issued 504 AM CDT Thu Aug 30 2018) SHORT TERM...Today through Sunday night...Forecast confidence medium. A large high pressure area over the wrn Great Lakes will gradually move to the east today and tonight. Areas of stratocumulus this morning will become more widespread toward late morning via daytime heating and cold air aloft. The cloud cover will then improve later in the afternoon as temps warm aloft via warm advection. Middle to high clouds will then increase late tnt as a weak shortwave trough approaches in zonal flow. The shortwave trough and warm, moist advection will then bring sct showers and tstorms for Fri. A more organized and heavier area of rain will then arrive late Fri nt via a MCS. This will occur as the LLJ that extends from the central Great Plains through wrn WI veers across srn WI. The MCS may arrive late enough that only isold SVR will be possible, hence the Marginal Risk. The MCS may also move quick enough to keep the Flash Flood risk low, although PWs will be near 2 inches. Remnants of the MCS could linger into Sat AM. It is uncertain if new development will occur late Sat afternoon into the night as the effective front may get pushed far enough south by the earlier convection. Models for Sunday afternoon and evening suggest a weak shortwave trough and LLJ development would bring more showers and tstorms to the area. LONG TERM...Monday through Wednesday...Forecast confidence medium. Srn WI will be on the srn periphery of wswly jet stream next week. Warm and humid conditions with chances of showers and tstorms are forecast for most days. A frontal boundary will likely be in the vicinity of srn WI during this time along with the passage of weak shortwave troughs.
