The National Weather Service in Miami has cancelled the High Surf
Advisory. The Coastal Flood Advisory has been cancelled. 

* RIP CURRENT TIMING...through at least Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Rough surf and rip currents will continue to create 
  dangerous waters for swimmers along South Florida's Atlantic 
  beaches. Rip currents will become strongest near structures in 
  the water such as piers, jetties and reefs. 


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

.AVIATION...East coast sites will continue to oscillate between N
to NW flow as drainage flow backs most sites tonight. Today looks
to be a repeat of previous 24 hours with east coast sites varying
between N and NE, trending NE with time. Speeds once again 10-15kts,
with gusts to 20kts possible through the afternoon. Winds decouple
to less than 10 knots and trend more NE this evening into Monday.
VFR for the next 24 hours.

UPDATE...
Forecast winds where adjusted to reflect the slightly stronger northerly
flow still prevailing this evening. Otherwise, the forecast package
remains on track and no other significant changes are required
for the evening update.

A powerful northeaster low over the western Atlantic will send large
swells into South Florida's coastal waters, which will bring hazardous
boating conditions, high surf and potential for coastal flooding
along Palm Beach and Broward counties Sunday afternoon. A Coastal
Flood Watch is in effect for those counties with conditions
expected to begin Sunday afternoon and continuing through Monday
evening.

AVIATION...East coast sites will continue to oscillate between
N and NNE through around 02Z, then expect drainage flow to back
most sites to NNW or NW. Exception may be KFLL which may remain
more NNE. Tomorrow looks to be a repeat of today with east coast
sites varying between N and NE, trending NE with time. Speeds once
again 10-15kts, with gusts to 25kts possible through the
afternoon. Gulf breeze at KAPF brings winds back to the NNW after
19Z.

COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT PALM BEACH AND BROWARD COUNTIES FROM
SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

DISCUSSION...
Short term (Tonight through Monday)...an approaching large swell
will bring deteriorating marine and beach conditions over much of
the Atlantic waters starting Sunday afternoon. Please refer to
the MARINE and BEACH FORECAST sections below for more details.

Dry and a little cooler air lingers over South Florida in the
wake of a cold front passage last night. With generally stable
conditions prevailing through the short term, expect mainly mostly
clear to partly cloudy skies, along with afternoon highs in the
mid-upper 70s. Morning lows will be in the mid 40s interior to
upper 50s near the coast.

Northerly winds will prevail through Sunday, then veer to the
east-northeast on Monday as deep high pressure lingers over the
region. This synoptic scenario will also keep dew points mainly in
the 40s through the short term across much of South Florida.

Long term (Monday night through Friday)...high pressure remains in
place with prevailing dry and stable conditions through mid week.
However, low level moisture will begin to gradually increase on
Tuesday as winds begin to turn more southerly ahead of an approaching
cold front. Models remain in fair agreement regarding the
solution for the FROPA across the area, with GFS bringing the bulk
of the associated rain a little faster than ECMWF. At this time,
the forecast will be closer to GFS as the timing adjustments from
ECMWF are gradually trending towards GFS's original solution. Thus,
expect a band of pre-frontal clouds moving through the region
starting Wednesday night. Some showers are likely to accompany the
leading edge of the front, with rain chances lingering into Thursday.

A much drier and a little cooler air mass will filter into the
region in the wake of the FROPA with temperatures likely dropping
to below normals.

MARINE...A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for the
Atlantic waters through Monday. Northerly wind in the wake of a
cold front will at times reach 25 knots, especially on the Gulf
Stream, through early next week. A significant northeasterly swell
associated with a powerful low pressure system off the New
England coast will continue to increase through the rest of the
weekend. This will lead to increasing wave heights...to 7-9 feet
this evening...12 feet overnight, and up to 15 feet Sunday.
Hazardous conditions may continue through the middle of next week.

BEACH FORECAST...A High Risk of Rip Currents is now in effect for
all Atlantic beaches through Monday as a powerful storm system
over the west Atlantic continues to send large swells towards
Florida. This will lead to very hazardous conditions. Little in
the way of improvement is expected early next week. The large
swells and induced waves could lead to significant beach erosion
Sunday and into early next week, particularly on Palm Beach County
beaches. A Coastal Flood watch has been issued for Palm Beach and
Broward counties, with potential impacts starting around noon on
Sunday. Also, a High Surf Advisory will likely be needed starting
Sunday afternoon.

FIRE WEATHER...Relative humidity values across most of interior,
western, and far southern portions of South Florida will fall into
the 20s each afternoon this weekend. However, northerly wind
speeds are likely to remain just below 15 mph.

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

Rip currents: Rough surf and rip currents will continue to create
dangerous waters for swimmers along the Atlantic beaches. There is a
high risk of rip currents along all the Atlantic Beaches.

Wind: Northerly winds of 20 to 25 KT over the Atlantic waters will
create hazardous boating conditions. A Small Craft Advisory is in
effect.

Waves: Seas in the open Atlantic will build to 8 to 11 feet tonight.
Highest waves are forecast to occur in Gulf Stream. A Small Craft
Advisory is in effect.

Temperatures: Temperatures will fall into the mid 40s across interior
South Florida, in the low 50s along the Gulf coast tonight, and mid
50s across the western east coast suburbs. Apparent temperatures
will range from the low 40s in the northern interior to around 50
in the westernmost areas of the east coast metro.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

A high risk of rip currents is expected on Atlantic waters into the
upcoming week.

A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for Palm Beach and Broward
counties starting Sunday afternoon through Monday evening with the
potential for beach erosion and minor coastal flooding.

Hazardous marine conditions are expected to continue over all the
local Atlantic waters into the early part of the upcoming week.
Continuing gusty north winds and a building long period swell will
lead to significant rough surf along the Atlantic beaches.
