Louisiana, south central Louisiana, southwest Louisiana, west
central Louisiana, and southeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Cold front moves through tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will
increase ahead of the front. A few thunderstorms may become severe
with the main threat from hail and strong winds. Storms tapering
off behind the front as drier and cooler air pushes in from the
northwest.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday
Looks like a dry week ahead as high pressure dominates the
weather. Storms return on saturday ahead on a new front.

Winds picking up behind of a cold front that will move into the
coastal waters late this evening. A Small Craft Advisory has been
posted for late tomorrow morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday
Winds tapering off on Tuesday but return on Wednesday as the next
surge of cold air moves across the coastal waters.

JASPER COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM CST...

At 600 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mayflower to near Harrisburg. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

Nickel size hail will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Toledo Bend Dam, Burkeville, Harrisburg, Mayflower, Farrsville and
Wiergate.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
