...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers 
western and southern Indiana...

  Wabash River...White River...


 
.Lowland flooding will develop along portions of the White and 
Wabash Rivers in western and southern Indiana this week. Significant 
flooding is not expected at this time.

Rainfall of 3 to 5 inches fell Sunday and early Monday in portions 
of east central Illinois...west central...southwest and south 
central Indiana.  Additional rains of 1 to 2 inches is expected in 
southern Indiana by Tuesday morning.

Early Monday afternoon, the Wabash River had risen over 11 feet in 
the Montezuma area and was above flood stage.  Lowland flooding will 
spread downstream later this week along the Wabash.  The White River 
in southern Indiana had shown little response to rains through early 
Monday, but is expected to rise and flood is some areas following 
additional rains on Monday afternoon and evening.

Flooding will affect some local and state roads...low agricultural 
land and some river parks.  High water may last 3 to 5 days.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

.Lowland flooding is developing near and south of Montezuma along 
the Wabash River in western Indiana, and the White River is expected 
to follow suit for most of the run from about Elliston southward.  
Significant flooding is not expected at this time.

Through approximately 10 PM EDT Monday, rainfall of 3 to 6 plus 
inches has fell Sunday and Monday in portions of east central 
Illinois and western Indiana. Rainfall has been considerably lighter 
in eastern Indiana.  Additional rainfall of up to 1 inch is expected 
in southern Indiana by 8 AM Tuesday morning.

Late Monday evening, the Wabash River had risen over 11 
feet in the Montezuma area since Saturday and was nearly 4 feet 
above flood stage.  Lowland flooding is spreading downstream, 
bringing the river into flood this evening from Terre Haute to 
Riverton.  Vincennes and Mount Carmel are expected to rise 
above flood stage later this week.  The White River in southern 
Indiana had shown little response to rains through late 
Monday evening, but is expected to rise and flood is some areas 
following additional rains through Tuesday afternoon.

Flooding will affect some local and state roads...low agricultural 
land and some river parks.  High water may last 3 to 5 days.

Edwardsport  southward along the White River.  Significant flooding 
is not expected at this time.

Through approximately 11 AM EDT Monday, rainfall of 3 to 8 plus

Illinois and western Indiana. Rainfall has been considerably lighter 
in eastern Indiana.

The Wabash River has crested or nearly crested upstream of Riverton 
and will continue to rise downstream.  The White river will continue 
to rise over the next several days.  Flooding of up to 4 to 5 feet 
above flood stage has occurred.

  Wabash River...White River...


.Locally heavy rains of more than 3 inches fell in southeast 
Illinois and southwest Indiana since Monday morning.  Significant 
flooding from the Embarras River in southeast Illinois will push the 
Wabash River in the Mount Carmel and New Harmony areas about flood 
stage by Friday.  Crests will be 1 to 3 feet above flood stage.

Upstream lowland flooding continued along the Wabash River from 
Montezuma to Riverton. The crest on the Wabash River was approaching 
Terre Haute.

The White River continued to rise from Elliston to Hazleton early 
Tuesday morning.  The White River may crest slightly above flood 
stage from Edwardsport to Hazleton later this week.

Rainfall approaching 12 inches has fallen in portions of southwest 
Indiana since Saturday...June 9.

River flooding will affect some local roads...low agricultural land 
and some river parks.  High water may last 5 to 7 days.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and

approaching the Vincennes area.

High water from the Embarras River in southeast Illinois will push 
the Wabash River in the Mount Carmel and New Harmony areas above 
flood stage by Friday.  Crests in these areas will be about 1 foot 
above flood stage.

River flooding will continue to affect some local roads...low 
agricultural land and river parks.  High water may persist more 
than 7 days.

Little rain is expected through Monday.  This will allow rivers to 
recede somewhat.

* At 20.0 feet...River is bankfull in all locations.  All oil field 
  production ceases with the exception of pumping units on 
  substructures.  Access to these are by boat only.  Agricultural

  round.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
western and southern Indiana...

  East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...Wabash River...



.Lowland flooding continued along portions of the Wabash, East 
Fork White and Muscatatuck Rivers in western and southern Indiana 
late Thursday morning.

Locally heavy rains of more than 2 inches fell in southern 
Bartholomew County on Wednesday afternoon.  Lowland flooding quickly 
followed in portions of Jackson and Washington counties. Flooding 
will end in this area by Monday.

High water from the Embarras River in southeast Illinois continued to 
cause the Wabash River to slowly rise in the Mount Carmel and New 
Harmony areas.  The Wabash River will crest about a foot above flood 
stage in these areas by Monday.  Upstream the river was near crest 
at Vincennes.  The Wabash will fall below flood stage from Terre 
Haute to Vincennes by Tuesday.

River flooding continued to affect some local roads...river parks 
and low agricultural land. 

Little rain is expected through Monday.  This will allow rivers to 
recede somewhat.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  east of Cortland...County Road 725 N just north of the gaging site 
  and Ewing Road near Brownstown.

  Seep water is noticeable behind levees.  Some elevated river 
  cottages are surrounded by water.  Several county or township roads
  east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in
  Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

Periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue
across the forecast area until a cold front pushes through the
region from the northwest Tuesday night into Wednesday. High
pressure then filters in behind...bringing brief dry conditions
before a series of upper level disturbances push across the area
producing renewed chances for rain.

.NEAR TERM /This Afternoon/...

Issued at 935 AM EDT Mon Jun 11 2018

Another round of showers and storms were passing across far
southern Central Indiana this morning...remnants of an earlier
convective complex. Surface analysis again still shows a weak
frontal boundary in place across Central Indiana. Water Vapor
Imagery continues to show plume of moisture stretching from the
Northern Plains across Iowa to Indiana and Ohio. A warm and humid
air mass remained in place across the area...with dew point values
in the middle 60s.

Once clearing begins as the convective remains exit the
area...forecast soundings still show steep lapse rates with plenty
of CAPE this afternoon should convective temperatures in the
lower 80s be reached...which seems reasonable and possible. Thus
will trend toward lower pops across the south as ongoing precip
departs...however will keep chc pops this afternoon in case of
additional development occurs. Stuck close to the forecast builder
blends on Temps...trending a bit higher across the northern parts
of the forecast area where precip has ended and some sunshine is
starting to break through.

.SHORT TERM /Tonight through Wednesday Night/...

Issued at 440 AM EDT Mon Jun 11 2018

The frontal boundary remains in the area Monday night into
Tuesday...as an upper level disturbance moves overhead as well.
Isolated severe potential continues with CAPE of 1500-2000 J/kg in
play. PWATs of 1.6-1.7 inches illustrates the potential heavy
rainfall...leading to potential flooding as well.

A cold front, associated with an upper trough over the Great
Lakes, will push through the forecast area from the northwest late
Tuesday night into early Wednesday...bringing an end to the rain
chances. High pressure then filters in behind the front...keeping
the area dry through the remainder of the period.

Tuesday and Wednesday see temperatures jumping back into the above
normal category, with middle to upper 80s expected. Obviously, any
convection that forms could change this. Stuck close to the
regional initialization blend to account for the uncertainty.

.LONG TERM /Thursday through Monday/...
Issued at 333 AM EDT Mon Jun 11 2018

The current warm, humid, and stormy pattern shows little sign of
abating in the long term period.

A hot dome of upper level ridging will generally remain in place
across the southern Plains, Mississippi Valley and southeastern
US, with the likelihood of multiple rounds of ridge-riding
convection further north in addition to less organized and weaker
convection in the hot and humid airmass. Pinpointing timing and
location on these this far out is next to impossible, both because
of the general limits of predictability on such scales and the
dependence of future convective environments on those that come
before them, and thus will have low chances of convection much of
the long term.

Temperatures will remain seasonably warm throughout the period,
and will likely push 90 on occasion.

.AVIATION /Discussion for the 111500Z IND Taf/...

Brief IFR conditions at IND are expected to return to VFR quickly
within the next 1-2 hours as a TSRA complex exits the area.
Trended toward a dry forecast for the next few hours as radar
trends suggest. However as heating resumes...sct shra/tsra may
develop after 17Z-18Z.

Any TSRA that strikes a taf site may produce brief IFR conditions.

Outlook: Thunderstorm activity is possible through tonight.

Hazards: The main threats are frequent cloud to ground lightning,
and heavy rainfall which may cause flooding. Hail and strong gusty
winds are also possible.

Timing: Through the period.

Discussion: A front in the area will keep some thunderstorms around
at times through tonight. Although widespread severe storms are not
expected, an isolated strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Outlook: Thunderstorm activity is possible Tuesday into early
Wednesday, and at times from Thursday evening through Saturday night.
Isolated strong to severe storms are possible on Tuesday, mainly
over southern Indiana.

Discussion: A front lingering over Indiana will cause storms the
first part of this week. There should be a brief dry spell under
high pressure Wednesday, then another front could bring more storms.
