* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Vermilion County in east central Illinois...

* Until 330 PM CDT

* At 1222 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of
  rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin
  shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Danville, Tilton, Oakwood, Potomac, Belgium, Muncie, Bismarck,
  Henning, Collison, Vermilion County Airport, Middle Fork Wildlife
  Area, Armstrong, Alvin and Kickapoo State Park.

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 202 and 220.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CDT FOR
CENTRAL VERMILION COUNTY...

At 1 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in 
Danville. Cars were partially submerged in the 500 to 600 block of 
North Gilbert Street. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches have been 
indicated by radar along and north of I-74, from near Collison to 
the south side of Danville. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Danville, Tilton, Oakwood, Potomac, Belgium, Muncie, Bismarck,
Henning, Collison, Vermilion County Airport, Middle Fork Wildlife
Area, Armstrong, Alvin and Kickapoo State Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area, as additional thunderstorms move in from the northwest. 

This includes Interstate 74 between mile marker 202 and the Indiana 
border.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

CENTRAL VERMILION COUNTY...

At 232 PM CDT, local emergency management reported that the some of 
the flash flooding in Danville has receded. However, there are still 
areas with standing water. Additional thunderstorms will be moving 
in from the northwest through mid afternoon, which may slow the end 
of the flooding. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Danville, Tilton, Oakwood, Belgium, Muncie, Middle Fork Wildlife
Area, Collison and Kickapoo State Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of a half to 1 inch are possible in the 
warned area.

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 202 and 220.
