Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Grand Junction CO 422 PM MDT FRI AUG 3 2018 COZ006-UTZ025-027-032300- Grand Valley CO-Arches/Grand Flat UT-Tavaputs Plateau UT- 422 PM MDT FRI AUG 3 2018 ...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHEASTERN GRAND COUNTY UNTIL 500 PM MDT... At 421 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 41 miles northeast of Green River, moving southeast at 30 mph. Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Grand County. This includes Interstate 70 in Utah between mile markers 215 and 227. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
