.SHORT TERM...(This evening through Saturday)

As clear and cold arctic high pressure remains anchored across
the northern plains impacts again will revolve around temperatures
and wind chills for the evening and overnight. Advisory criteria
will again be reached with feels like temperatures ranging from 25
to 35 below zero. Temperatures will be a bit warmer than previous
morning as westerly winds keep mixing higher than previous
mornings. Lows tonight expected to be in the 5 to 15 below range.

Saturday max temps look to be a bit warmer than the past few days
with better mixing with the west to southwest surface winds. Highs
in the single digits across the northern half with low teens in
the south where snow depth is marginal.

.LONG TERM...(Saturday night through Friday)

Models in good agreement through the extended period and will keep a
blended soln for this forecast package...with the main focus on a
primarily northwest flow regime through the period.

For Saturday night into Sunday...look for a clipper system to
traverse the area bringing a chance for light snow...mainly along
the international border into the Lake of the Woods region. A shot
of cool air will briefly return in its wake.

For Monday and Monday night...the upper trof and accompanying sfc
system will quickly move east and some ridging will return. Along
with return flow on the back side of the sfc ridge...expect temps to
warm with values reaching into the 20s for Tuesday.

Warmer temperatures will persist through Wednesday ahead of another
cold front. Precipitation chances increase ahead of this system with
a better opportunity for measurable precipitation...but amounts
should still remain  on the light side. Behind the system...temps
will cool again to slightly below normal values.

period. SKC this afternoon will give way to some mid to high
clouds moving into the northern areas towards morning. May impact
