EDWARDS AND NORTHEASTERN VAL VERDE COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM CDT...
At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles northeast of Carta Valley to 10 miles
east of Alamo Village to near Laguna. Movement was southwest at 30
mph.
Small hail, frequent cloud to ground lightning, and wind gusts up to
50 mph will be possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Brackettville, Loma Alta, Laguna, Amanda, Cline, Standart, Alamo
Village, Carta Valley, Concan, Devils River SNA - Del Norte, Kickapoo
Cavern State Park, Turkey Mountain, Vinegarone and Fort Clark
Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Austin San Antonio.
