The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Medina County in south central Texas...

* Until 1145 AM CDT

* At 845 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Parts of Medina County saw 
  between 3 and 5 inches of rainfall overnight. An additional 1 to 3 
  inches of rainfall is possible especially across the southern part 
  of Medina county with the thunderstorm complex currently 
  traversing the county. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Hondo, Devine, Castroville, Lytle, Natalia, Lacoste, Cliff,
  D'Hanis, Noonan, New Fountain, Dunlay, Quihi, Mico, Biry, Pearson,
  Yancey, Bader, Rio Medina, Hill Country State Natural Area and
  Government Canyon State Natural Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 AM CDT FOR
MEDINA COUNTY...

At 959 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the southern part of the warned area. With two to four 
inches of rainfall having fallen since last night across the country 
isolated flash flooding is possible. Storms are now focused across 
the southern part of the county near Devine but isolated 
precipitation should continue across the county over the next two 
hours.
