This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop late this
afternoon and continue into this evening across much of northeast
Minnesota into parts of northwest Wisconsin. These storms will be
capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and heavy
rainfall leading to flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch remains in
effect tonight for much of northeast Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon through Thursday
as a cool front moves eastward across the Northland. Some storms
may be strong to severe. Another round of thunderstorms is
forecast Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Skywarn Spotters may be needed late this afternoon into tonight.
Reports of rainfall and flooding from spotters and the public are
requested.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Nearshore
waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Strong southwest winds will continue through this evening which
will create hazardous conditions to smaller vessels. A Small
Craft Advisory remains in effect for areas along the north shore.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue
through this evening. Some storms may be strong to severe with
frequent lightning, large hail, gusty winds, and torrential rain
which will reduce visibility.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon through Thursday,
and again on Saturday. The storms mid-week may be strong to severe.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN ITASCA COUNTY...

At 336 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was 7 miles southwest of
Pokegama Dam, or 8 miles southwest of Grand Rapids, moving east at 45
mph.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph, half-inch hail, and frequent cloud to ground
lightning can be expected with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Grand Rapids, Cohasset, Coleraine, Taconite, Warba, Pokegama Dam,
Gunn, Blackberry, Bovey, Marble, La Prairie, Calumet, and Siseebakwet
Lake.

Seek shelter inside a sturdy building and away from windows until
this storm passes. Get off area lakes and seek shelter on shore in a
sturdy shelter or a hard-topped vehicle.

This storm may intensify, please monitor local media outlets for
additional information and possible warnings from the National
Weather Service.
