This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central
Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon. Some
of the storms may be strong to severe, with gusty winds and heavy
rainfall. Areas from the Champlain Valley eastward have the best
chances to see stronger storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN ADDISON
AND NORTHWESTERN RUTLAND COUNTIES...

At 127 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered over Rogers Rock
Campground, moving northeast at 15 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Middlebury, Crown Point, Cornwall, Sudbury, Weybridge, Salisbury,
Orwell, Whiting, Goshen, Shoreham, Crown Point Center, Leicester,
Bridport, Brandon, New Haven, Benson, Addison, Ripton, Hancock and
Benson Bay.

Torrential rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning are
occurring with this storm. Localized flooding is possible. Do not
drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

If you are on or near Lake Champlain, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
