Abundant tropical moisture across the area will likely produce minor flooding across portions of deep south Texas, especially across low-lying and poor drainage areas. At 1211 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
thunderstorms with heavy rain over Norias, or 10 miles south of
Armstrong, moving north at 10 mph.
Heavy rainfall is falling along U. S. Highway 77. Rainfall rates up
to 2 inches per hour are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Armstrong, Norias, U S 77 Border Patrol Station, Rudolph and
Armstrong Ranch Airport.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Brownsville.
