...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A few severe thunderstorms are possible in Southern New England
this afternoon and early tonight. Any damaging weather that forms
would most likely come as strong wind gusts. There is a low
chance of an isolated tornado. In addition, heavy rainfall may
produce local flooding, especially in areas of poor drainage.

The best chance for damaging thunderstorms will take place in
Central and Western Massachusetts, Northern Connecticut, and
Northwest Rhode Island. The most likely time will be from 4 PM to
Midnight.

Spotters should remain alert and report any observed damaging
weather.
