South central McKenzie County in northwestern North Dakota...
* Until 500 PM CDT/400 PM MDT/.
* At 427 PM CDT/327 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of
producing a tornado was located 5 miles west of Grassy Butte, or
28 miles west of Killdeer, moving northeast at 25 mph. This storm
was moving towards the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National
Park. Campers and hikers should seek a sturdy shelter.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
