Skies varied from mostly cloudy east of the Mississippi River to mostly sunny west of the River. Temperatures across the area this afternoon were in the 30s to lower 40s with brisk west winds adding to the chill. High pressure drifts east across the area tonight as low pressure moves across southern Canada. This will set up breezy southwest winds overnight with scattered altocumulus from time to time after midnight. Overnight lows are expected to bottom out in the upper 20s to the lower 30s with temperatures steadying out or slowly climbing after midnight. A cold front swings through the area by mid-Tuesday morning with brisk westerly winds setting up.
