Mills and Stueben and on the Yellow River at Necedah...flood warning 
cancelled for the Black River near Galesville Wisconsin.

.Minor flooding continues along the Kickapoo River at both Gays 
Mills and Stueben. It is forecast to go below flood stage on 
later today at Gays Mills and Tuesday at Steuben. 

Moderate flooding continues on the Yellow River at Necedah, with 
levels now receding. 

The stage on the Black River near Galesville has fallen below flood 
stage and the flood warning there has been cancelled.

River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast 
precipitation.

.SHORT TERM...(This evening through Friday)

Main forecast concern in the short term is on freezing
temperatures tonight, likely ending the growing season for the
entire area.

High pressure builds into the area tonight providing cold
overnight lows expected. Clouds will be slow to clear tonight and
will likely hang on through much of the night, especially along
and north of Interstate 94. Even though it is questionable that
frost will form tonight with some cloud cover and wind,
temperatures will be at or below freezing which will damage most
if not all cold sensitive vegetation. The freeze warning remains
in effect. Look for lows to drop into the mid to upper 20s to
around 30. Cool weather continues on Friday while an upper level
trough passes to our south across the mid Mississippi River
Valley. Plan on mostly cloudy skies to start the day with a
decrease in clouds during the afternoon. Highs will only be in the
40s.

.LONG TERM...(Friday night through Thursday)

Continued cool and breezy at times in the long term.

Saturday looks to be the warmest day of the weekend ahead of an
approaching cold front. Look for highs on Saturday to edge into the
50s at many locations. It will also be breezy on Saturday ahead of
the cold front. There could be a few rain showers Saturday night
along the front but overall forcing is very weak, so not
expecting widespread activity. Cool and dry weather builds back in
Sunday through Monday with another shot of cool air Tuesday night
into Wednesday. We could see some warmer temperatures edge back
into the region from the middle to end of next week as a ridge
builds over the western CONUS and flow aloft attempts to turn more
zonal.

MVFR ceilings still cover the area as part of extensive stratus
field over the entire Great Lakes region. This cloud field showing
some signs of drifting east, and cellular look to clouds today may
also lend to some scattered conditions tonight. Trend for MVFR to
VFR continues in TAFs, especially as back edge approaches.

Wave tracking just south of the area could bring ceilings back on
Friday but still expected to be VFR.
