The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Northeastern Crawford County in southwestern Wisconsin...
  Southern Adams County in central Wisconsin...
  Southeastern Monroe County in west central Wisconsin...

* Until 900 PM CDT.

* At 305 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Estimates of 1 to 1.5 inches of 
  rain has fallen in the past hour, some of this where the very 
  heavy rain fell last night. Flash flooding is expected to begin 
  shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area the rest of the afternoon. With saturated soils and 
ongoing flooding, most of this rainfall will run off. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

SOUTHERN JUNEAU...CENTRAL VERNON...NORTHERN RICHLAND...NORTHEASTERN
CRAWFORD...SOUTHERN ADAMS AND SOUTHEASTERN MONROE COUNTIES...

At 439 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered thunderstorms 
producing mainly light to moderate rain across the warned area. 
Estimates are 1 to 2 inches of rain has fallen across the warned 
area this afternoon, some of this in areas with ongoing flooding 
from last nights heavy rain. Flash flooding and additional rapid 
rises on streams and rivers are expected.

More thunderstorms are expected through early evening, with 
additional rainfall amounts of 1/2 to 1 inch possible.
