...Strong Wind Gusts and Rapid Icing of Ground Surfaces Likely
through Noontime...

Northwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph, with some gusts of
40 to 45 mph through noontime across the southeast Catskills, mid
Hudson Valley region, southern Taconics, southern Berkshires, and
Litchfield County.

These strong winds may be strong enough to down some trees or tree
limbs, and make driving difficult.

In addition, temperatures will continue to fall rapidly through
noon, into the lower 20s. Any wet, untreated ground surfaces will
likely freeze up over the next few hours.

Motorists and pedestrians should use extreme caution through
noontime, and be prepared to encounter hazardous driving
conditions.
