...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 11 AM AKST SUNDAY
THROUGH PORTAGE VALLEY AND EASTERN TURNAGAIN ARM...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Winds gusting as high as 
  40 mph will cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. 
  Significant drifting of the snow is likely. Total snow 
  accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up to 6 
  inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Portage Valley and Eastern Turnagain Arm.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 11 AM AKST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM AKST MONDAY THROUGH
PORTAGE VALLEY EASTERN TURNAGAIN ARM AND TURNAGAIN PASS...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blizzard conditions expected. Blizzard
  conditions will develop early this morning. Temperatures will 
  warm above freezing through Portage Valley and eastern Turnagain
  Arm this afternoon leading to improved visibilities and 
  eventually a changeover to rain by this evening. Meanwhile, snow
  through Turnagain Pass will become heavy this evening and 
  continue through the overnight hours. Expect total snow 
  accumulations of 2 to 5 inches through Portage Valley and 
  eastern Turnagain Arm, with 12 to 16 inches through Turnagain 
  Pass.

* WHERE...Portage Valley, eastern Turnagain Arm and Turnagain
  Pass. 

* WHEN...Until 5 AM AKST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Winds
  gusting as high as 45 mph will cause widespread blowing and 
  drifting snow.

  heavy by late this evening and continue through Monday morning.
  Total snow accumulations of 18 to 24 inches are expected.

* WHERE...Thompson Pass.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM AKST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions.
  Localized winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause areas of 
  blowing and drifting snow.
