...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM MST
FOR NORTHEASTERN MOHAVE COUNTY...

At 308 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Kaibab, or 9
miles east of Colorado City, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees. 

Locations impacted include...
Pipe Spring and Kaibab.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN MOHAVE COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...
    
The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of 
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However 
heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm. An areal flood 
advisory remains in effect for northeast Mohave County.

.SYNOPSIS...A drying trend will continue into the week. Winds will
increase on Monday as low pressure moves into the area.
Temperatures will be slightly below normal early in the week and
return to near normal toward the end of the week.
&&

.DISCUSSION...A few thunderstorms will linger across eastern
portions of the CWA through the evening. The greatest thunderstorm
coverage will be across northern Mohave County. Our drying trend
will continue as a deep trough of low pressure develops over the
western CONUS. This will bring a dry southwesterly flow to the
area. Wind will increase as a result. While breezy conditions can
be expected for the next several days, particularly in the
afternoons, the strongest wind should occur Monday afternoon into
Tuesday morning. Wind speeds at peak will be gusting from 20 to
25 mph in most areas including the Las Vegas Valley. In San
Bernardino County, winds will gust to over 35 mph at times.
Temperatures will cool to a few degrees below normal by Tuesday,
then warm back to normal for the rest of the week. There is an
indication that some moisture may return to the area toward the
end of the week. However, confidence is low at this time on
whether that will occur and the areas that would be affected.

.FIRE WEATHER...A few thunderstorms will linger over Mohave County
in NW Arizona this evening. The recent drying trend will continue,
bringing an end to thunderstorm activity for much of the week.
Windy conditions can be expected beginning Monday as a large
trough of low pressure encompasses the western US. Strongest wind
will be across San Bernardino County. Other areas will be
consistently breezy, but not near critical levels.

.AVIATION...For McCarran...Dry southwest wind will continue through
the rest of today and into tonight with speeds ranging between 10-15
knots and gusts up to 25 knots. Gusts should become less frequent
later this evening and in to the early morning hours Monday. Dry air
will limit thunderstorm activity in the Las Vegas valley and all
traffic corridors tonight and through the week. Mostly clear skies
expected through the period.

For the rest of southern Nevada, northwest Arizona and southeast
California...Thunderstorm activity across northwest Arizona is
expected to subside this evening. As a dry southwest flow sweeps
across the rest of the area tonight and tomorrow, shower and
thunderstorm activity will decrease to near zero. A breezy
southwest/south wind will stick around tonight and through Monday
with winds 10-20 knots tonight increasing Monday afternoon to 15-25
knots with gusts up to 35 knots possible. Clear/mostly clear skies
expected across southern Nevada, southeast California, and northwest
Arizona through the period.&&
