The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East central Creek County in northeastern Oklahoma...
  Southeastern Tulsa County in northeastern Oklahoma...

* Until 815 AM CDT

* At 219 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. The Oklahoma Mesonet station at 
  Bixby has recorded nearly 2.4 inches of rainfall over the past 
  hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Southern Tulsa...                 Broken Arrow...
  Bixby...                          Sapulpa...
  Jenks...                          Glenpool...
  Kiefer...                         Mounds...
  Liberty...                        Leonard...

Moderate to heavy rainfall continues in Bixby, which could 
exacerbate the flood situation.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 215 and 216.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
