Central Kane County in southern Utah...
* Until 715 PM MDT
* At 211 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain over the Buckskin Wash drainage. This includes Hogeye
Creek, Deep Spring, and other associated drainages.
* As thunderstorm activity has moved east, remaining flowing water
will course through these drainages through the early evening
hours.
* If you are traveling through these areas...please ensure your
safety.

CENTRAL KANE COUNTY...
At 339 PM MDT, Flash flooding has been reported in the Buckskin
Gulch area and intense thunderstorm activity continues in the lower
drainage.
Up to 1 inch of rainfall has fallen in the Buckskin and surrounding
drainages in a short period of time. As flooding is occurring, and
additional thunderstorm activity continues, this area is
quite dangerous and will continue to be so through the evening hours.
Please avoid Buckskin Gulch and surrounding washes through the
evening hours.

CENTRAL KANE COUNTY...
At 438 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across Buckskin Wash and associated waterways. Rainfall
amounts are now up to 1.5 inches of precipitation. Dangerous flash
flooding is occurring and will remain through the evening hours.
Please stay away from these areas, and if you are in the canyon,
take steps to ensure for your safety.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Kane County in southern Utah...
* Until 1015 PM MDT
* At 542 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding in
the Buckskin Wash drainage. Flash flooding is already occurring.
* Rainfall has ended in this area. However, flash flood waters will
continue to flow through the Buckskin Wash for several more hours
as runoff from additional recent rainfall makes its way through
the drainage.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry
washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Campers and hikers should
avoid the Buckskin Wash drainage tonight.
