main threat will be damaging winds. Isolated large hail and localized
heavy rain leading to flooding are possible as well.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN TAZEWELL AND
SOUTHWESTERN MERCER COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM EDT...

At 830 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Tiptop, moving
east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...

Pocahontas...
Bramwell...
Tiptop...
and Pinnacle Rock State Park.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
