Most areas will see light precipitation while the northern and central mountains will see mostly snow. As the first low pressure trough moves east, a second stronger low pressure storm system over the Pacific Northwest will dig rapidly southeast into the Great Basin through Wednesday. Precipitation will increase across the west and northern mountains with snow levels around 8500 t0 9000 feet. Have continued winter storm watch for the Absaroka and Bighorn mountains. Parts of the south and central areas will likely get dry slotted initially Wednesday through Wednesday night with precipitation over the north spreading south across the lower elevations of Johnson and Natrona counties with widespread rain. At 653 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Antelope Hills, which is 17 miles north of Casper, moving northeast
at 20 mph.
Dime size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Natrona County.
This includes Interstate 25 between mile markers 202 and 209.
