  Southeastern Halifax County in central North Carolina...

* Until 815 PM EDT
    
* At 732 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles east of Tarboro, moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

SOUTHEASTERN HALIFAX COUNTY...
    
At 741 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 8 miles south of Scotland Neck, or 12 miles northeast of
Tarboro, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
