Northeastern Saguache County in central Colorado... * Until 630 PM MDT * At 326 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Amounts of up to 1/2 inch of rain have fallen on the upper reaches of Hayden Burn Scar. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hayden Burn scar, and Coaldale. Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch are possible in the warned area. This includes the following streams and drainages...Middle Prong Hayden Creek...Piney Creek...Hayden Pass Creek...Short Creek...Hamilton Creek...Oak Creek...North Brush Creek...Little Cottonwood Creek...Texas Creek...South Lake Creek...Big Cottonwood Creek...San Luis Creek and Sullivan Creek. At 423 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1/2 inch of rain has already fallen across the upper reaches of the Hayden Pass Burn scar. Additional heavy rainfall is moving into the southeast portions of the burn scar. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the Hayden Pass burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Cottonwood Creek, Little Cottonwood Creek, Oak Creek, Wolf Creek and South Prong Creek.
