The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Lawrence County in western Pennsylvania...
* Until 1100 AM EST.
* At 803 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across Lawrence
County. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. The rainfall
will come down very heavy at times during the morning and cause
flooding of streams and roadways. The ground is still frozen
just below the surface and will cause rapid runoff as the heavy
rains occur.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Castle, Ellwood City, New Wilmington, Oakwood, New Castle
Northwest, New Beaver, Pulaski, Ellport, Bessemer, Plain Grove
Township, Wampum and South New Castle.
