  driveways on Kettle River Road will be flooded. Water will be over 
  Customs Road near Riverview Lane.
* At  18.5 feet...Flooding begins on Customs Road near mile post 6.
* At  18.3 feet...Minor flooding will occur in the 'Ol Swimming Hole 
  County Park in Curlew.

.SYNOPSIS...
A slow moving frontal system will be the focus for showers and
isolated thunderstorms today. Saturday will be cooler with
showers lingering over the Idaho Panhandle and far eastern
Washington. Monday and Tuesday will have the best chance of being
dry next week. Unsettled weather will likely return by Wednesday
or Thursday.

.DISCUSSION...
Update: The forecast has been updated based on latest radar trends
and HRRR model data. As of 11 am a band of elevated convection
along a cold front was producing mostly showers and just a few
lightning strikes from the Tri Cities area north through Creston
and Republic. Models show that this band should gradually weaken
into the early afternoon.  Ahead of this band another area of
elevated instability was producing a band of showers from the
Camas Prairie into the Central Panhandle Mountains. In between
these areas from the palouse into the north Idaho Panhandle
conditions are dry late this morning and cloud cover is limiting
convective development. Latest HRRR still shows some
destabilization this afternoon mainly over NE Washington into the
north Idaho Panhandle where scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms are expected to develop. Cooler marine...stable air
will continue to pour into Chelan county and the western Columbia
Basin which should keep shower activity isolated at best. Stable
marine air will also continue to pour from the lower basin into
the palouse area. Thus have lowered POP's the rest of today for
the Pullman and Lewiston areas and also brought pops down a bit
for Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area where cloud cover is expected to
limit shower coverage to scattered. Also limited thunder coverage
to just isolated over NE WA/N Idaho. Given saturated soils and
very moist atmosphere there remains a flash flood risk over the
northern mountain counties but with just isolated thunderstorms
expected the risk looks isolated in nature.  JW

.AVIATION...
18Z TAFS: A moist and moderately unstable air mass remains over
the region this afternoon which will promote scattered showers
over eastern Washington and north Idaho. Isolated thunderstorms
are also possible but latest HRRR model guidance keeps the best
chances in the mountains north of KGEG/KSFF/KCOE so none of the
TAF sites carries a mention of thunderstorms. An area of MVFR
stratus also moved into KGEG/KSFF around 1730z but this should
lift by 19-20z with VFR conditions expected to return. A frontal
boundary lingers over the eastern TAF sites overnight promoting
rain showers. Most model data shows this to not produce
significant rain and to keep CIGS VFR which what is forecast in
the TAFS. However if the wetter NAM verifies then more significant
moistening of the boundary layer would occur with MVFR conditions.
