.NEAR TERM /Now Through Monday/...An occluded system over the
Southeast/Tennessee River Valley moves off. This system remains
quite strong through the first two periods of the forecast, though
shows little additional deepening. With the potency comes wrap-around
stratus moving over the FA from the northwest tonight, along with
stronger boundary layer winds. For the forecast, one last round of
dynamically driven light shra is possible over the northern half of
the land portion of the fa tonight into Monday. At this point, not
much addition QPF is expected over the FA to add to the amounts
received the last 48hrs or so. Also, with strong boundary layer winds
expected, winds advisory level winds showing mainly as frequent gust
to advisory levels is expected overnight tonight into Monday before
slow easing as the system moves off the Eastern Seaboard. Am
continuing the current Wind Advisory in effect until 18Z/12noon
Monday. For temps, with significantly cooler air moving over the FA,
but a lack of good radiation cooling, the temp drop will be mainly
due to advection. Lows tonight in the 40s, along with highs MOnday
in the 60s expected.

.SHORT TERM /Monday night Through Wednesday night/...A combination
of the potent exiting system and another trying to get organized over
the West will build an upper ridge over the Plains/Mississippi River
Monday night into Tuesday night, then shift it east to over the East
coast. This will quickly push a surface ridge east over the FA such
that onshore flow returns to the FA Tuesday into Tuesday night. With
that, temps moderate upward into mid week, with temps in the upper
30s to mid 40s expected Monday night rising to upper 40s northeast to
mid 50s southwestern portions of the fa as warming flow off the Gulf
moves in. Highs Tuesday in the mid to upper 60s expected.

Wednesday through Wednesday night, the western energy slowly pushes
the upper ridge off the East Coast, pushing a weak to moderate front
over the FA late Wednesday through Wednesday night. The upper ridge
will help to prevent the energy from digging too far south as it
passing, contributing to the weaker passage. Some rain is expected,
but instability with and moisture return ahead will be limited, so
have left the rumbles out of the rain expected this part of the
forecast. Highs Wednesday in the mid 70s expected. Lows Wednesday
night vary as cooler air begins to move over the fa, ranging from mid
40s northwest to mid 50s southeast.

.LONG TERM /Thursday Through Sunday/...Shortwave energy dives into an
upper trough shifting east/digging over the eastern Conus, creating a
persistent surface low over/near the Northeast and a surface ridge
over the West. The result is the fa under general northerly flow
through the Extended, with a weak re-enforcing front moving over the
FA Friday night into Saturday. Temps drop to below seasonal levels
with low temps flirting with freezing Thursday through Saturday
nights over the northern half of the FA, mid 30s to around 40 further
south. Highs generally in the 50s, a bit warm along the coast
expected.

.MARINE...Strong westerly winds become northwest on Monday then
subside through Monday night as high pressure builds into the area.
Will continue with a Gale Warning for the Gulf waters out 60 nm
until 9 am Monday with a Small Craft Advisory for the remaining
portion. Have issued a Small Craft Advisory to be in effect after
the Gale Warning expires, which continues until winds and seas
subside below advisory criteria Monday afternoon into Monday night.
A southerly flow develops Tuesday into Tuesday night and increases
through Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the west. The
front moves across the area Wednesday night with a strong offshore
flow in the wake of the front which subsides gradually through
