THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Local winds near the surface will assume more of an onshore
component today. As a result, coverage of showers and
thunderstorms will favor inland locations during the afternoon.
Plenty of moisture from an old frontal trough, as well as from
recent generous rains, will ensure that coastal locations will
not be left out having an early start along the sea breeze.
Primary hazards will be cloud-to-ground lightning and locally
heavy rain today. However, wind gusts to 45 mph are cannot be
ruled out. Storm motion will be toward the inland direction around
10 mph.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Slow moving lightning storms will be capable of producing locally
heavy rainfall this afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches
in a 60 to 90 minute period will be possible in a few spots which
will cause temporary flooding of roadways and low lying areas.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
An east swell will produce a moderate risk of rip currents at the
beaches of east central Florida. Always swim within sight of a
lifeguard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Scattered lightning storms are expected to develop near the coast
along the sea breeze and push farther inland while becoming more
numerous. Marine impacts to the intracoastal waterways will be more
prevalent from the Cape south along the Treasure Coast. However,
inland lakes will actually be more at risk to strong thunderstorm
gusts during the mid to late afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
Scattered lightning storms are forecast to continue into the
Fourth of July weekend. The primary threats will be dangerous
lightning strikes, gusty winds, and locally heavy rain. While the
highest chances for afternoon thunderstorms is expected across
inland areas, coastal locations will also see a threat of
lightning activity each day.

A moderate risk of rip currents will continue.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today, however spotters are
asked to report rainfall amounts of greater than 3 inches or
observed flooding.
