into the region this afternoon and tonight. Some storms may be
severe with damaging wind gusts the primary threat. Storms will also
produce heavy rain which could lead to localized flooding in low
lying areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the region
Sunday. A few storms may become strong to marginally severe with
damaging wind gusts the primary threat. Storms could also produce
heavy rain which could lead to localized flooding in low lying areas.

At 519 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Rose Hill to near Beulaville.
Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

These storms will be near...
  Beulaville around 555 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Magnolia and Pink
Hill.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

Stumpy Point, moving east at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Waves, Rodanthe and Hatteras Island Fishing Pier.

along a line extending from near Gum Neck to 14 miles east of
Killkenny to near Stumpy Point. Movement was northeast at 5 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

These storms will be near...
  Stumpy Point around 630 PM EDT.
  Manns Harbor around 715 PM EDT.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

southeast of Wanchese to 6 miles northwest of Rodanthe. Movement was
east at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.
