The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  North central Marshall County in northwestern Mississippi...
  Northwestern Benton County in northeastern Mississippi...
  Central Fayette County in western Tennessee...

* Until 1245 PM CDT
    
* At 1201 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm producing a tornado was
  located over Lamar, or 14 miles northeast of Holly Springs, moving
  northwest at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Michigan City around 1205 PM CDT. 

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Macon,
Elba, Canadaville, Oakland, Longtown, Moscow, Early Grove, Williston,
Lambert and Warren.

FAYETTE COUNTY...
    
At 1220 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm producing a tornado was located
near Slayden, or 16 miles north of Holly Springs, moving northwest at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely. 

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
western Fayette County, including the following locations: Macon,
Elba, Hays Crossing, Hickory Withe, Canadaville, Oakland, Moscow,
Griffen, Rossville and Piperton.
