The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Logan County in west central Nebraska...

* Until 930 PM CDT

* At 630 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have 
  already fallen 10 miles east of Stapleton and additional 
  thunderstorm activity is expected this evening. Flash flooding is 
  expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Stapleton, Gandy, Logan, Tarboz Lake, Shanklin Bluff and Hoagland. 

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 92 between mile markers 224 and 228.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 110 and 122.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

At 834 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already
fallen. Flooding is possible in the warned area. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stapleton, Gandy, Logan, Tarboz Lake, Shanklin Bluff and Hoagland.
