EARLY THURSDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Northeast Florida,
Southeast Georgia and the Adjacent Coastal Waters.

.DAY ONE...Rest of Today and Tonight...

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms across northeast Florida
and portions of southeast Georgia through the evening...then just
along the coastal areas after midnight.

Locally heavy rainfall in excess of an inch will be possible through
early Thursday morning...mainly along the coast.

There is a Moderate risk of rip currents at the area beaches due to
increasing onshore winds and seas.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the northeast Florida waters
beginning tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

An elevated risk of rip currents and very rough surf is expected at
the area beaches Thursday due to stronger onshore flow and elevated
seas.

Gale conditions possible for coastal waters mainly south of Saint
Augustine on Thursday. Small Craft Advisory is in effect rest of
coastal waters through Thursday night and possibly into Friday.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN ST. JOHNS AND
SOUTHEASTERN DUVAL COUNTIES UNTIL 945 PM EST...

At 916 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sawgrass, or 8 miles southeast of Ponte Vedra Beach, moving west at
30 mph.

Wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph can be expected along with possible minor
wind damage.

Locations impacted include...
Unf, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fruit Cove, Neptune Beach, Palm Valley,
Sawgrass, Baymeadows, Nocatee, Bayard and San Pablo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
