FOR NORTHEASTERN COLUMBIA...NORTHEASTERN HAMILTON...SOUTHEASTERN
ECHOLS AND SOUTHEASTERN CLINCH COUNTIES...

At 435 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Needmore, or 8
miles west of Fargo, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. 

Locations impacted include...
Fargo and Needmore. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 500 AM EDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty winds
and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

.UPDATE...Forecast area is experiencing a nice break from the
rain with weak shortwave ridge passing over the area...even
clearing of the clouds. Much of the night expected to be
quiet. During pre-dawn hours...as upper low over nrn Gulf of Mex
approaches...and surface low moves eastward over FL panhandle...
expecting to see showers redevelop and spread in from eastern Gulf
of Mexico...increasing in coverage from dawn onward through the
morning. High POPs warranted given expected coverage during the
day. Cloudiness and precipitation should keep temps down Wed.

Made significant adjustment to hourly sky...POP...and weather
grids through early Wed morning to reflect latest expected
evolution.

.AVIATION...VFR conditions expected this evening...with MVFR
cigs possible after 06z with showers and isolated t-storms
expected over TAF sites toward dawn. Maintained MVFR conditions
toward dawn and through much of Wed...could have IFR conditions
where locally heavier rainfall occurs.

.MARINE...A weak low pressure center will move slowly eastward
along the Florida panhandle coast later tonight and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a cold front pushing southward into the southeastern
states will approach the Georgia coastal waters later tonight,
and will push slowly southward into the northeast Florida waters
on Wednesday night. This front will push south of the northeast
Florida waters by Thursday afternoon, and will stall over south
Florida by late Friday. Weak high pressure will be situated over
the southeastern U.S. in the wake of the front on Friday and will
then push eastward into the Atlantic waters this weekend, allowing
the front over south Florida to slowly lift northward as a warm
front late this weekend.

Rip Currents: Low risk expected to continue through Wednesday due
to offshore winds. Elevated risk expected Thursday through
Saturday due to onshore winds.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Northeast Florida,
Southeast Georgia and the Adjacent Coastal Waters.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...
Waves of heavy rainfall accompanied by embedded strong
thunderstorms are expected through late tonight. Widespread
heavy downpours and a few strong thunderstorms will push
northeastward from the Gulf of Mexico across our region from the
mid-morning through mid- afternoon hours today. The heaviest
rainfall amounts with this activity will likely occur in the
Suwannee Valley and portions of inland southeast Georgia, where
widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are forecast, with
localized heavier amounts possible. Stronger thunderstorms during
this time frame will be capable of producing gusty winds of 30-40
mph, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, and localized
flooding, particularly in urban areas.

Another round of heavy downpours and embedded strong to possibly
isolated severe thunderstorms is expected to push into our region
from the west, mainly after midnight tonight. The Storm
Prediction Center has placed southern portions of southeast
Georgia and all of northeast and north central Florida within a
marginal risk for severe thunderstorm development, with stronger
activity overnight capable of producing damaging wind gusts,
frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, and localized
flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday...

A cold front will approach our area from the north and will slowly
push through our region on Wednesday night and Thursday.
Additional rounds of heavy downpours and embedded strong
thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday and Wednesday night,
bringing event rainfall totals to the 2 to 4 inch range, with
locally higher amounts possible. Stronger thunderstorms will be
capable of producing gusty winds, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and localized flooding. Activity will gradually
push south of our area by the early afternoon hours on Thursday.

Southwesterly winds will strengthen over the coastal waters on
Wednesday evening in advance of a cold front. A Small Craft
Advisory may be required for the offshore Florida coastal waters
on Wednesday night. A northeasterly wind surge following the cold
front may also bring Small Craft Advisory conditions to portions
of our coastal waters on Thursday.

An elevated risk of rip currents is expected at area beaches from
Thursday through Saturday due to onshore winds.

Isolated to widely scattered mainly afternoon and evening
thunderstorms are expected on Friday and Saturday, with
scattered to numerous thunderstorms possible by Sunday and Monday
afternoons.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are asked to self activate if warnings are issued. We
encourage spotters to report rainfall amounts in excess of 2
inches.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN HAMILTON AND WESTERN
ECHOLS COUNTIES UNTIL 445 AM EDT...

At 337 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Statenville, moving northeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph can be expected along with possible minor
damage. Doppler radar has indicated weak rotation within this storm.
Tornadoes may develop with little or no advanced warning.

Locations impacted include...
Jennings, Statenville and Mayday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
