Pearl River At Jackson affecting Hinds and Rankin Counties
SYNOPSIS...
Ross Barnett Reservoir is currently discharging 43,000 cubic feet
per second (cfs). They will continue this discharge until the pool reaches
298.0 feet in the reservoir. Inflows into the lake will decrease
through tomorrow morning (near 32,0000 cfs) before beginning to increase
once again. Inflows into the lake will peak around 35,000 cfs on April 8th.
The current official forecast for the Pearl River at Jackson is 33.5 to
34.0 feet on Thursday. The crest will be similar to the March 2016 flood.
