The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana  has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Wabash County in north central Indiana...
  Northern Huntington County in northeastern Indiana...

* Until 800 PM EDT

* At 355 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates and spotter 
  reports indicate that between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen 
  across the warning area this afternoon. Additional rainfall 
  amounts of around 1 inch are possible through early this evening. 
  The ground is saturated due to heavy rainfall this afternoon and 
  yesterday. Runoff from this heavy rainfall will likely lead to 
  flash flooding. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Huntington, Wabash, North Manchester, Andrews, Roanoke, Roann,
  Lagro, Ijamsville, Richvalley, Liberty Mills, Goblesville, Bracken,
  Urbana, Speicherville, Laketon, Bippus and Mahon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR
WABASH AND NORTHERN HUNTINGTON COUNTIES...

At 526 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavier showers and 
thunderstorms have moved east of the warned area. Radar estimates 
and spotter reports indicate that 1 to locally 2 inches of rain has 
fallen across the warning area this afternoon. Additional 
rainfall amounts are expected to be generally less than one half 
inch. The combination of saturated ground from rainfall 
last night and runoff from the additional heavy rainfall today will 
continue to pose a threat of flash flooding early this evening.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Huntington, Wabash, North Manchester, Andrews, Roanoke, Roann, Lagro,
Ijamsville, Richvalley, Liberty Mills, Goblesville, Bracken, Urbana,
Speicherville, Laketon, Bippus and Mahon.

COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 800 PM EDT...

Flood waters are expected to recede during the remainder of the 
evening hours.  Therefore, the flash flood warning will be allowed 
to expire. Ponding of water on roadways will remain possible into 
the early portion of the overnight hours. Please continue to heed 
any remaining road closures.
