The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Peoria County in central Illinois...

* Until 630 PM CDT
    
* At 600 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a 
  tornado was located 5 miles southeast of Laura, or 17 miles 
  northwest of Peoria, moving southeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. At 558 pm, a funnel cloud was 
           reported by trained spotters in this area. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Brimfield around 605 PM CDT. 

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 74 and 77.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN PEORIA COUNTY...
    
At 614 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Brimfield, or 12 miles northwest of Peoria, moving
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely. 

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Peoria County.

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 74 and 77.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN PEORIA COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
630 PM CDT...
    
The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning will be 
allowed to expire. However, large hail and damaging winds remain 
likely and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the 
area.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
central Illinois.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Lincoln.
