.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will build into the area today and move off to
the east tonight. Southerly winds on the back side of this high
will allow temperatures to rebound closer to normal on Friday
until a cold front moves through the region Friday night.
Another high pressure system will build back in for the weekend.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
An area of stratocu will drift down across eastern portions of
our fa through mid morning. Otherwise, high pressure will build
east across the Tennessee Valley through this afternoon,
resulting in mostly sunny skies. After a cool start this
morning, temperatures will push up into the upper 30s to lower
40s through this afternoon.

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY/...
With the clear skies and light winds, temperatures will drop
off quickly this evening. Freezing temperatures will occur
again, then southerly winds on the back side of this high will
cause a rise in temperatures late. With the southerly winds and
warmer temperatures, more moisture will be pulled into the area,
with some light rain or freezing rain possible towards daybreak
in western portions of the CWA.

Increasing southwesterly flow will bring a good shot of
isentropic lift across the area on Friday. This will lead to an
increasing chance of showers from west to east through the
morning hours and continuing into the afternoon. Surface temps
will be near freezing at the onset, which could lead to a brief
period of mixed pcpn/freezing rain before the pcpn transitions
over to all rain by late morning. Highs on Friday will
eventually push up into the mid 40s to lower 50s. The better
isentropic lift will shift off to our east by Friday evening but
short wave energy moving across the southern Great Lakes Friday
night into Saturday will bring a secondary chance of showers to
our area. As the cold air is filtered into the region, any rain
will mix with and change over to snow late Friday night and
into Saturday morning, especially across our northern areas.
Lows Friday night will be in the 30s with highs on Saturday
generally in the 40s.

Mid level ridging will push quickly east across the region through
the day on Sunday, leading to dry conditions and highs once again in
the 40s.

.LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
There are some timing and placement issues with the next short
wave to affect the region for Monday into Tuesday. As a result,
will remain somewhat broad with both pops and timing, indicating
higher chance to likely pops both days. Depending on the
timing, pcpn could start off as a rain snow mix early Monday
morning, but thermal fields are generally warm enough to support
rain through the event. Expect highs on Monday and Tuesday into
the 50s, cooling into the 40s as we dry out by Wednesday.

.AVIATION /13Z THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
High pressure at the sfc will work across the area today. A few
cu could develop across the nrn tafs, with possible VFR ceiling
at CMH/LCK this morning as moisture drops se from nw OH. Expect
the srn tafs to be sunny.

By 00Z, the sfc ridge axis will be east of the area, allowing
isentropic lift to begin and high clouds to begin to filter in.
Cigs will gradually lower tonight.

Consensus of the models is to bring pcpn into the wrn tafs
around 12Z. Temperatures will be right around freezing at CVG at
12Z, which could lead to mixed pcpn for a few hours. Included a
Prob30 of -fzrasn from 12Z-14Z. After that temperatures should
be above freezing and the pcpn should be regular rain, but cigs
will be dropping throughout the morning.

OUTLOOK...MVFR/IFR ceilings and MVFR visibilities likely Friday
into Saturday. Wind gusts up to 30kt possible Saturday.
MVFR ceilings and visibilities possible again on Monday.
