corridor, translating eastward to the coast after midnight thru

...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm just west
of Carolina Beach near the Cape Fear River, moving north at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. A funnel
cloud is also possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Leland, Belville, and Silver Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can pose a variety of threats. It is recommended that
you remain indoors until the storm passes.
