At 321 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Elkton, or 10 miles northeast of Whiteville, moving east at 60 mph.

Half inch hail and winds of 30 to 40 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Rowan, Carvers, Point Caswell, Long Creek, Lisbon, Lagoon, Elkton,
Rooks, Malpass Corner, Montague, Emerson, Council, Kelly, Currie,
Wards Corner, The Borough, Clarkton and Atkinson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
