This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

There is a good chance for severe weather along and west of
Interstate 35 late tonight into Wednesday morning. Primary severe
concerns are for damaging winds and large hail. There is an
isolated threat for tornadoes, and a few areas may experience
heavy downpours of 1 to 2 inches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will remain possible
east of I-35 Wednesday morning, with damaging winds and large
hail being the primary threats.

Wednesday afternoon, gusty winds and low relative humidities are
expected to develop over the Southern Edwards Plateau, leading to
elevated to near critical fire weather conditions.

Saturday night into Sunday, another storm system is expected to
move into Texas and bring a potential for strong to severe
storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter reports are appreciated late tonight into Wednesday
morning as the line of storms move over the populated areas such
as the Hill Country and I-35 corridor.

At 513 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Seminole Canyon State Park, or 11 miles southeast of Langtry, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Comstock, Shumla and Seminole Canyon State Park.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for

At 950 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Juno to 26 miles southwest
of Box Canyon-Amistad. Movement was east at 50 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Del Rio, Loma Alta, Juno, Comstock, Amistad Village, Box Canyon-
Amistad, Seminole Canyon State Park, Laughlin AFB, Amanda, Lake View,
Flour Mills, Val Verde Park, Standart, Carta Valley, Cienegas
Terrace, Devils Shores, Pafford Crossing, Bakers Crossing, Kickapoo
Cavern State Park and Us-277 Near The Sutton-Edwards County Line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

If on or near Lake Amistad, get out of the water and move indoors.
Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent
thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be
struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on
the water in a thunderstorm.

a line extending from near Telegraph to 9 miles east of Rocksprings
to near Carta Valley to near Laughlin AFB. Movement was east at 75
mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Medina, Del Rio, Kerrville, Uvalde, Fredericksburg, Hondo, Comfort,
Brackettville, Rocksprings, Bandera, Leakey, Spofford, Tarpley,
Vanderpool, Loma Alta, Hunt, Ingram, Sabinal, Stonewall and Camp
Wood.
