The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Llano County in south central Texas...
Northwestern Burnet County in south central Texas...
* Until 615 AM CDT
* At 213 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across much of Llano County and northwestern parts of
Burnet County. Up to 3 inches of rain have already fallen with the
heaviest rains from near and just south of Llano to Lake Buchanan
to Lampasas. Rains were increasing again northwestern Burnet
County. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kingsland, Llano, Buchanan Dam, Gainesville, Field Creek, Lone
Grove, Bluffton, Valley Spring, Prairie Mountain, Baby Head, Stolz,
Castell, Oxford, Tow and Enchanted Rock Station.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the
warned area.

dangers of flooding.

LLANO AND NORTHWESTERN BURNET COUNTIES...
At 256 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Radar and rain gauges show up to around
5 inches of rain have fallen near and just south of the city of
Llano with around 3 inches northeast to the Tow and Lake Buchanan
areas. A few roads in the Llano area have 3 feet of water in
them. Flash flooding will continue.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kingsland, Llano, Buchanan Dam, Gainesville, Field Creek, Lone Grove,
Bluffton, Valley Spring, Prairie Mountain, Baby Head, Stolz, Castell,
Oxford, Tow and Enchanted Rock Station.

At 403 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rains moving out of the
warned area. Rain gauges show up to 6 inches have fallen near and
south of the city of Llano and in the Tow to Lake Buchanan areas.
Flash flooding will continue. Rises have been noted on the Llano
River and its tributaries.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kingsland, Llano, Buchanan Dam, Gainesville, Field Creek, Lone Grove,
Bluffton, Valley Spring, Prairie Mountain, Baby Head, Stolz, Castell,
Oxford, Tow and Enchanted Rock Station.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.

At 504 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated only light to patchy moderate
rains across Llano and northwestern Burnet Counties. Radar estimates
show near 8 inches of rain in the Lake Buchanan to Tow areas and
near and to the south of Llano have fallen. Flash flooding will
continue as well as rises on streams. .
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kingsland, Llano, Buchanan Dam, Gainesville, Field Creek, Lone Grove,
Bluffton, Valley Spring, Prairie Mountain, Baby Head, Stolz, Castell,
Oxford, Tow and Enchanted Rock Station.
Additional rainfall amounts of one half inch are possible in the
warned area.
