* At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Additional
heavy rainfall is on the way. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Blue Knob State Park, Queen, Bellwood,
Horseshoe Curve, Roaring Spring, Sinking Valley, Ski Gap and
Lakemont.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT FOR
NORTH CENTRAL BEDFORD AND BLAIR COUNTIES...
At 956 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the warned area have caused at least one mud
slide near steep terrain. There was a mudslide in East Freedom in
Greenfield township. Mud slides can consist of rock, mud, vegetation
and other loose materials.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Blue Knob State Park, Queen, Bellwood,
Horseshoe Curve, Roaring Spring, Sinking Valley, Ski Gap and
Lakemont.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
