  Central Saluda County in central South Carolina...

* Until 300 PM EDT
    
* At 232 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles west of Saluda, or 22 miles west of Batesburg,
  moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

miles northwest of Batesburg, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely. 

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Saluda County.
