Heat indices could reach 105 degrees this afternoon across the western portions of Central Alabama. Isolated severe thunderstorms may develop east of the interstate 65 corridor this afternoon. The main threat with these storms will be damaging winds and localized flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Thunderstorms will develop ahead of an approaching cool front late Friday afternoon and into Friday night. Some storms may become severe, producing damaging winds. Heavy rainfall will also be possible, and could result in localized flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Activation of storm spotters and emergency management may be necessary Friday afternoon and Friday night.
