* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Winona County in southeastern Minnesota...
Central Olmsted County in southeastern Minnesota...
Southeastern Wabasha County in southeastern Minnesota...
* Until 315 AM CDT
* At 1116 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Street flooding has already occurred in Rochester.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. An additional 1 to 3
inches is possible.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rochester, Byron, Plainview, Eyota, Elgin, Buffalo City,
Rollingstone, Altura, Marion, Viola, Minnesota City, Elba,
Minneiska, Chester, Beaver, and Whitewater State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

NORTHWESTERN WINONA...CENTRAL OLMSTED AND SOUTHEASTERN WABASHA
COUNTIES...
At 1209 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already
fallen, highest from Viola to Beaver and Minneiska. Flash flooding
is expected to begin shortly.
The heavier rain has ended, but expect additional light rain to
result up to an additional half inch by 3 AM.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rochester, Eyota, Buffalo City, Rollingstone, Altura, Marion, Rock
Dell, Viola, West Newton, Minnesota City, Minneiska, Chester, Beaver
and Whitewater State Park.
