.DISCUSSION...
Models in decent agreement through 60 hours. Deep 963mb low on the
Aleutians just west of Cold Bay will remain nearly stationary and
weaken to around 974mb through Tuesday morning while developing
another center north and south of the Aleutians.

Upper level ridge will continue to push in from the east which
will develop southerly flow over the interior of Alaska and this
will serve to warm the air mass at all levels beginning Monday
night but the strongest winds will likely occur from Wed evening
through Thursday through the Alaska Range.

Lower level winds over the interior of Alaska indicate that higher
terrain areas could see gusty winds causing blowing snow.

Cold temperatures over the West Coast combined with moderately
strong winds are creating very cold wind chills. These wind chills
should abate by this evening as warmer air is advected into the
area and then mixed well with the winds.

Areas of light snow will spread northward with the occluded front
over the West Coast tonight through Wednesday. Snow amounts will
be relatively light. No liquid precipitation is expected at this
time.
