Thunderstorms continue this evening both across southwest Florida near Fort Myers, and over portions of north central Florida. An area of decaying showers is also apparent across the Tampa Bay region. This activity should generally diminish by 11 pm as diurnal heating is lost and stability increases. As high pressure settles in across the Gulf of Mexico, expect prevailing light west to northwest winds overnight. Partly cloudy skies may become overcast overnight into early Monday, as low levels cool and patchy low clouds develop. With rich low level moisture, expect a rather mild and damp night, with lows ranging from the low 70s inland, to the mid 70s near the coast. The only changes made to the existing forecast were to trim PoPs to reflect current trends, and adjust hourly winds through the overnight period. && .AVIATION (00z TAFs)... Isolated showers and thunderstorms are lingering over parts of the forecast area, most notably around KFMY and KRSW, with patches of MVFR or brief IFR/LIFR conditions.
